Community Land Connection Series Hike – May 19, 2017 11:30am-1:30pm
Partnerships are key to protect important places forever. Join us to celebrate Colorado Public Lands Day and learn more about how local partners are working to protect important places in Eagle County.
Peter Suneson, Walking Mountains Community Outreach Coordinator, and Jessica Foulis, EVLT Stewardship and Outreach Manager, will co-lead a hike on Eagle River Preserve.
When: The hike will be Friday, May 19, from 11:30-1:30
Where: We will be meeting at Walking Mountains Science Center.
Directions: From Exit 167 on Interstate-70
Drive north to Nottingham Road and head west
Take your second right onto Buck Creek Road
Then an immediate right onto Walking Mountains Lane
Bring: We will be hiking in variable conditions. Those interested should come prepared to spend two hours outside with sun protection, water, proper layers for Colorado weather and sturdy waterproof shoes.
Weather: This hike is weather-dependent, please check EVLT’s Facebook page on the day of the hike for information on updates or cancellations in case of inclement weather.
This hike is free and open to the public but space is limited. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (970) 748-7654 for more information and to reserve your spot. Although we love dogs, not everyone else does, especially wildlife. Please leave your furry friends at home.
