Community Land Connection Series – Winter Family Adventure – Saturday, January 25, 2020 2-4pm
Colorado is truly a magnificent place, and winter is a magical time in the mountains. Bring your family to the Eagle River Preserve for some fun in the snow
Join Eagle Valley Land Trust and Eagle Valley Outdoor Movement to explore Eagle River Preserve with snowshoes. Eagle River Preserve is conserved forever through a valuable partnership between Eagle Valley Land Trust and Eagle County Open Space.
When: Saturday, January 25, 2020 2-4pm
Where: We will be meeting at the Eagle River Preserve (Edwards) winter parking area at the entrance of the property and walking from there. The Eagle River Preserve is located on the South side of Hwy 6, approximately 200 yards West of the Edwards Access Road that runs south from Exit 163 on I 70. Click here for a map.
Bring: We will be encountering unpredictable weather and conditions in the field. Those interested should come prepared to spend two hours outside with sun protection, water, proper layers for Colorado weather, waterproof jacket and pants, sturdy waterproof shoes, and trekking poles, if desired. Snowshoes will be provided.
Weather: This event is weather-dependent, please check EVLT’s Facebook page on the day of the hike for information if there is inclement weather.This event is free and open the public but space is limited.
