Earth Week Fencing Project

Roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty as we build fencing along the edge of the EVLT Conservation Center bordering the beautiful Eagle River Preserve. The cedar split rail construction will serve as a demonstration of wildlife-friendly boundary fencing, a necessity for the elk that grace the preserve (and occasionally our property).
No experience or special skills are required to help out! Come as you are, enjoy some tasty snacks and beverages, and bask in the glow of doing satisfying work with good people on the land.
When: Thursday, April 24 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Where: EVLT Conservation Center in Edwards, CO.
What to expect: We will be putting posts into pre-dug holes, tamping them down, filling the holes in with gravel, and hanging the cedar rails. Some light to moderate lifting will be involved.
This program is weather-dependent and intended for humans only. While we love dogs, we kindly ask that you leave your furry friends at home.
