Community Land Connection Series: Forest Bathing and Water Blessing

August 28 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Join Eagle Valley Land Trust for a very special forest bathing experience and water blessing ceremony at beautiful Eagle River Preserve!

The concept of forest bathing emerged from the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, or “taking in the forest atmosphere.” At its core, forest bathing means spending time immersed in nature, consciously connecting with the sights, sounds, and smells all around you.

Susie Kincade, a trained forest bathing guide and nature-based empowerment coach, will offer a series of invitations to help us reawaken our senses and welcome in the healing powers of nature. We’ll end our practice with a water blessing by the river. Don’t miss this unique event!

When: Wednesday, August 28 from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

Where: Eagle River Preserve in Edwards, CO. We’ll meet in the lower parking lot.

What to expect: Dress for the season in appropriate layers and wear sturdy shoes to walk on mostly level terrain that may be rocky in areas. We will primarily be standing, sitting, and walking at a leisurely pace.

Cost: Free. Registration is required.

This program is weather-dependent and intended for humans only. While we love dogs, we kindly ask that you leave your furry friends at home.
