Hatsie’s passion for conservation began as a child in New England, where her family was active in land conservation. She moved to the Vail Valley in 1974. She holds a masters degree in education and was a teacher with Eagle County Schools for many years. Today, she is the Secretary of the Lake Creek Metro District, and a proponent of the Lake Creek valley as a core member of the “Heart of the Valley” campaign. She is an avid painter and is a member of the Vail Valley Art Guild. Hatsie enjoys all the mountains have to offer with her family and friends.
