Change can be shaped, cultivated, and planned. As the Eagle Valley Land Trust approaches its 40th birthday, we want you to help build a vision for our community’s next 40, 80, and 100 years. EVLT’s new strategic direction will begin, proceed, and end with listening to all the people that call this area home. Please join us for a series of conversations focused on the future of our communities and EVLT’s role in it.

As you know, our local population is growing quickly and development pressures countywide are expanding. The current pandemic has accelerated this growth, presented a variety of new challenges and amplified those challenges that existed previously. For example, local wellness and livability is changing, wildlife populations continue to plummet, and our tourism based economy is in flux. For 40 years, EVLT has been working to protect land for our community, wildlife, and future generations so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of nature. To know what our next 10 or 40 years will look like, we need to know from you which issues, challenges, or initiatives matter most. How can the Eagle Valley Land Trust make our community a better place to live and work?

It’s a big conversation, and we’re dedicated to listening. To get the process started, we need to hear from you. Please join us for the upcoming virtual community forum on December 3rd from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. The conversation will include leaders from other communities who have met similar challenges with creativity and ingenuity. Please be prepared to listen, learn, and offer your ideas for what is possible in our community. The forum will be followed by a survey and opportunities to submit feedback to Eagle Valley Land Trust. By attending, you will be automatically entered to win gift certificates from our partners including Alpine Quest Sports, Drunken Goat, and others!

We look forward to hearing from you, thank you for spending time envisioning our future with us.
