WE ARE FOR finding more ways to connect every generation to the land we love.

Future Conservationists Programs

Students from several youth organizations have participated in our field programs and service projects where they participated in hands-on conservation education lessons or service projects giving back to the land.  By conducting this program at five public conservation easements held by EVLT, students learn about the different values of conservation including  preserving open space, historical value, and habitat protection.

EVLT is proud to collaborate with other organizations to deliver the Future Conservationists program, including Walking Mountains Science CenterYouthPower365The Cycle EffectHomestead Court Club Kids ProgramsBright Futures Foundation Buddy Mentors ProgramSOS Outreach, and Eagle Valley Outdoor Movement. Community Land Connection Series

EVLT facilitates nature-based experiences by providing free programs on conserved properties, including guided hikes, horseback rides, snowshoeing, and volunteer restoration projects. The Community Land Connection Series offers an opportunity for individuals and families to experience the great outdoors in a way that feels safe and welcoming to all.

EVLT believes that conserved lands are places that build community, value and embrace diversity, and distribute the benefits of conservation equitably. Through the Community Land Connection Series, we engage residents and visitors in recreational, educational, and stewardship programs that help build authentic, enduring relationships between humans and the land. These programs are often coordinated in partnership with government agencies and nonprofits throughout the valley.

This education and outreach project is possible because of the generous support of our partners including Vail Resorts EpicPromise.
