The 95-acre Constellation Ridge Easement, signed in August of 2008, protects a valuable scenic hillside immediately west of the Constellation Ridge housing development and golf course south of Gypsum, Colorado. This easement protects 3,900 feet of Gypsum Creek, an important local water resource and habitat for wild trout.

The property is visible from Gypsum Creek Road and is an important scenic element lending to the rural character of southern Gypsum. The Constellation Ridge Easement is frequently used for passive recreation by local residents. As part of this project, an extensive rehabilitation of Gypsum Creek was undertaken which re-created valuable natural habitat for local trout species. The property is also habitat for big-game species, including elk, mule deer, black bears and mountain lions.
