Harrington’s Penstemon Tour

Join Lynn Albers, the Town of Avon, and Eagle Valley Land Trust as we search for the rare and beautiful Harrington’s Penstemon. This plant is endemic to six counties in Colorado and can’t be found anywhere else in the world. Come celebrate its flowering season with us and learn about other native Colorado plants and their fascinating uses.
When: Tuesday, June 23 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Where: West Avon Preserve in the Wildridge neighborhood.
What to expect: Dress for the season in appropriate layers and wear sturdy shoes to walk on rocky, uneven terrain that is steep in areas. We’ll primarily be standing and walking at a leisurely pace.
Cost: Free. Registration is required.
This program is weather-dependent and intended for humans only. While we love dogs, we kindly ask that you leave your furry friends at home.
