Roberts Ranch
In 2009, Eagle Resident George Roberts decided to place a donated conservation easement on his 17+ acre property in the Terrace neighborhood of Eagle, Colorado. Instead of developing five previously approved home sites, Mr. Roberts forever protected this beautiful property that provides valuable wildlife habitat and is a significant visual and scenic community benefit to the citizens of Eagle.
The property is contiguous to an already existing conservation easement, and very near to another, thus creating extremely important “green belts” between residential subdivisions within the Town of Eagle. The Roberts Easement also provides connectivity with public open space lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management.
One hundred and fourteen species of birds, mammals and reptiles are known to habitat the Roberts’ property, including mule deer and elk.
