Community Land Connection Series – Wandering the Watershed – Wednesday, September 16

Join Eagle Valley Land TrustEagle County Historical Society, and Eagle River Watershed Council for a guided hike of the Sweetwater Property. We will be learning about the rich cultural history of Sweetwater Lake as well as the important role the lake plays in the Upper Colorado River watershed.

When: Wednesday, September 16, 2020 10am – 1pm

Where: Sweetwater, Colorado

Bring: We will be encountering unpredictable weather and conditions in the field. Those interested should come prepared to spend three hours outside with sun protection, water, proper layers for Colorado weather, sturdy waterproof shoes, and trekking poles, if desired. In accordance with the current public health order and to protect participants and our community, we ask that you please bring a face covering and hand sanitizer.

Weather: This hike is weather-dependent, please check EVLT’s Facebook page on the day of the hike for information if there is inclement weather. This hike is free and open the public but space is limited.

Please email dilzell@erwc.org for more information and to reserve your spot.  Although we love dogs, they can have an impact, especially for wildlife.. Please leave your furry friends at home. Additionally, if you are feeling sick or experiencing symptoms, we ask that you please stay home.
